Juvenile Justice in India

Abstract
The future of a country is dependent on it children. As the last decade saw large number of children been involved in different kinds of crimes, it is obvious that there is threat to the society as a whole. Today Juvenile crime has become a matter of concern for all. The paper starts with describing the evolution of Juvenile Justice Legislation in India and specially looks at the guidelines of Juvenile Justice Act 2015. Inspire of recent amendments which took place aftermath of December 2012 gang rape in Delhi, there is rise in crimes committed by Juveniles across the country. Now the question arises as to what are the factors which lead to such unstable Juveniles. The paper also tries to find out the psychological factors which lead to delinquency among Juveniles. In the concluding part some suggestions are put forward for preventive majors of crimes committed by Juveniles.
