Human trafficking has become a highly visible issue in both politics and academia. As a result, a growing number of researchers have begun to investigate the problem and responses to it. However, our understanding of the trafficking problem is still inadequate and responses to the problem are inefficient.Accordingly, the following review will draw from the extant research in order to provide an overview oflegal framework and the situation.
